Salalah is located approximately 600km south of the capital, Muscat, and lies at the mouth of the Gulf of Aden, on the Indian Ocean. Oman is located on the southern tip of the Arabian Peninsula. The southern region, Dhofar, is famous for its beautiful valleys during the Monsoon (Alkharif) season.
